About LiveLiftCode

Hey there! My name is Nick and I am the owner of this website. LiveLiftCode.com is a website for those of you who love or are interested in programming, fitness, and everything in-between. I started coding in early 2015 and have no intentions of ever stopping. My expertise (if you could call it that) is in a handful of back-end languages like Java and Python, but I do have some limited exposure to assembly level languages and front-end style sheets.

Code.

I made this website largely because I wanted to create answers to questions that folks like me have. So often in coding, we are given concepts or ideas that are explained using more complex concepts and ideas. Personally, I learn best when the explanations are in common terms, and that is what this website provides. You’ll find detailed (and sometimes silly) explanations here where I try to break big concepts down into terms that anyone could understand.

Lift.

This site also contains information on lifts, workout tips, and nutrition. In addition to my affinity for coding, fitness also plays a big role in my life. My physical health and fitness has always been a battle in my life and I like the idea of sharing what I’ve learned over the years. Through that fitness journey, I stumbled upon the concept of the “Big Lifts” (squat, deadlift, overhead press, bench press) and have made them a staple of my workout. I will share what I’ve learned about the Big Lifts, and other fitness topics, to hopefully save you a lot of time and heartache. I share my personal fitness tips and tricks, and I hope that you will do the same.

Live.

Finally, this site also will function as a blog about me and my life. I’ve been through what I refer to as a transition into a “real adult” over the past few years, and as I continue that path I hope to share what I’ve learned. As a man, sometimes I feel that male-centric blogs have a very rigid picture of what a man should be: cigars, mustaches, whiskey, and steak. I don’t believe that I, or most men or women out there, are as easily defined. Expect me to blog about my feelings on big life events, my thoughts on the road to starting a family, and my reflections on carving out a career for myself. Everyone has a story to tell, and hopefully mine is an interesting one.
